**[Tech] Backend Software Engineering Specialist - .Net/C#** ====================================================================== TOTVS | Rio de Janeiro - RJ | Hybrid Job Description Serve as the technical reference for the team, leading the development and evolution of software, data, and AI-integrated solutions—ensuring technical quality, architectural sustainability, and continuous delivery of business value. Guide daily technical decisions, support team growth, and ensure solutions are scalable, observable, and aligned with the area’s strategy. Responsibilities and Duties * Technically lead the development team, supporting decisions related to design, architecture, and implementation; * Actively develop complex solutions hands-on, maintaining close proximity to code and real product challenges; * Translate functional and non-functional requirements into viable technical solutions, evaluating alternatives and selecting the most appropriate technologies—considering trade-offs among quality, timeline, cost, scalability, security, and operational impact; * Actively contribute to evolving application, data, and integration architectures—ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability; * Ensure adoption of sound software engineering practices, such as automated testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration; * Support building and evolving data pipelines, asynchronous integrations, and AI-connected solutions where applicable; * Serve as the team’s technical reference point—promoting mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical maturity growth; * Participate in technical discussions with product, data, and partner teams—supporting tactical and operational decisions; * Identify technical improvement opportunities and propose solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and product quality; * Create or evolve reusable components, standards, and frameworks/platforms when necessary to accelerate development; * Support technical backlog prioritization—flagging risks, dependencies, and architectural impacts; * Conduct incident analysis and resolution—investigating root causes and proposing structural improvements; * Contribute to evolving engineering processes—aligned with the area’s short- and medium-term objectives; * Stay current on market trends, architecture, data, and AI—and disseminate knowledge across the team; * Ensure team goals are met—by influencing practices, task prioritization, and continuously improving technical quality; * Propose applicable innovations for the product roadmap—conducting proof-of-concepts and case studies to increase competitiveness, efficiency, and solution quality; Requirements and Qualifications * Strong experience in .NET development; * Proficiency in API development (REST-HORSE) and API-First approaches; * Solid foundation in unit testing—familiarity with Dunit; * Unigui and Firemonkey—advanced level; * PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent databases; * Modern software architecture—cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven; * Design patterns, Clean Code, and software engineering principles; * Development security and DevSecOps practices; * Advanced programming language (Java or equivalent) and frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud); * NoSQL, Elastic, MongoDB, or equivalents; * Messaging systems—RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, or equivalents; * AI and LLMs—usage via API, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI integration into applications; * Familiarity with data pipelines—Airflow, Beam, or equivalents; Desirable Qualifications * Agile methodology; * Strong communication skills; * Team-oriented mindset; * Flexibility; * Proactivity.
