Our client is an ethanol plant focused on the production of Hydrated Fuel Ethanol and Electrical Energy. The plant seeks a PCM Coordinator who will be responsible for managing maintenance schedules (preventive, predictive, and corrective) for industrial equipment and facilities. This professional must optimize costs, ensure machine availability, and lead the technical team to maximize equipment and facility efficiency and reliability during both harvest and off-harvest periods. This role plays a strategic part in managing a team of approximately four employees.
**✨ About the position:**
**Planning and Scheduling:**
* Harvest and Off-Harvest Management: Adjust maintenance plans to prevent breakdowns during the milling period, utilizing the off-harvest period for major overhauls.
* Schedule Development: Plan interventions on plant assets (boilers, crushers, turbines and generators, pumps, valves, piping, etc).
* Shutdown Management: Organize time and resources for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance shutdowns, minimizing production impact.
**Reliability Monitoring:**
* Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitor critical plant metrics such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), THH (Total Man-Hours), and Availability.
* Failure Analysis: Conduct structured failure investigations (e.g., FMEA) on medium- and high-criticality equipment to prevent recurrence.
**People Management:**
* Team Leadership: Coordinate teams of planners, analysts, and maintenance technicians.
* Training: Promote continuous team development and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement standards.
**Cost and Control Management:**
* Budgetary Analysis: Control expenses related to spare parts and services, ensuring adherence to the maintenance budget.
* Technical Inventory Control: Ensure required repair materials are available at the appropriate time.
* Standardization and Reporting: Develop technical documentation and issue process closure reports in the plant's system.
Requirements:
✓ Degree in Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Technology
✓ MBA or Postgraduate degree preferred.
✓ At least 10 years of experience as PCM Manager in sugarcane-ethanol plants.
✓ Experience leading the implementation of a PCM department.
✓ Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, lubrication, machining, boiler-making, and civil maintenance management.
✓ Familiarity with maintenance management systems such as CS or similar.
✓ Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality systems, and experience developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
