EHS Technician II **Date:** Feb 20, 2026 **Location:** Rio de Janeiro **Company:** Ternium **Purpose of the Position** * Ensure the implementation of Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental strategies, processes and initiatives within their area of responsibility, in accordance with applicable legal requirements and internal procedures, to continuously improve Occupational Safety and Health performance and preserve the environment, promoting principles of sustainable development and care for natural resources. **Main Processes and Tasks (Specific)** **Leadership, Participation and Communication, Programs and Initiatives, Objectives and Plans:** * Encourage participation around the vision and values of Safety, Occupational Health and Environment. * Maintain open and constructive dialogue spaces within their areas of responsibility regarding Safety, Occupational Health and Environment issues, fostering a climate of trust. * Implement and provide technical support for Safety, Occupational Health and Environment programs and initiatives within their area of responsibility through compliance with standards, policies and procedures, aiming to prevent work-related injuries and health deterioration, as well as minimize environmental impact. * Ensure that the Management System is established, implemented, maintained and continuously improved in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 standards within their area of responsibility. * Monitor Safety, Occupational Health and Environment objectives and implement defined plans to achieve them within their area of responsibility. * Ensure dissemination of events and operational best practices related to Safety, Occupational Health and Environment. **Processes, General and Activity Risks, Environmental Risks and Change Management:** * Support identification of major safety hazards and environmental risks within their area of responsibility and advise on mitigation strategies. * Advise and participate in the change control process (purchases, investments, new equipment, facility modifications) within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with current Safety, Occupational Health and Environment regulations and legislation. **Legal and Other Requirements:** Participate in the management process of legal and other applicable requirements related to Safety, Occupational Health and Environment within their area of responsibility: * Identify and assess applicable legal requirements jointly with the process owner and the Safety, Occupational Health and Environment specialist. * Communicate the assessment results to involved processes. * Coordinate the development and monitoring of improvement plans. **Documented Information, Safety and Environment Documents, Operational Control:** * Participate, based on their knowledge of the area, in the preparation/update of Safety, Occupational Health and Environment documented information according to system requirements, applicable legal framework and the objective of achieving Management Systems effectiveness, as well as monitor its status to avoid document duplication in the computerized system for its control (DPP\-KM). **Main Processes and Tasks (Specific)** * Supervise effective implementation of nonconformities, risks and opportunities identified by the Area Manager. * Participate in identifying and managing legal requirements related to Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Energy. * Generate management reports and presentations for the Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Energy function. * Propose and monitor improvements in IT systems for management. * Participate in managing corresponding central contracts of the Directorate. * Monitor centralized projects of the Directorate. * Participate in designing, preparing and updating training materials related to Level 3 general Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Energy documents. * Provide local advisory and support on management system-related matters. * Monitor established AM-level recognition schemes. **Prerequisites:** Completed high school education Technical Course in Occupational Safety Technical Training in Environment will be an advantage Experience in industrial environments and in the activities described.
