Job Summary: The professional will work as an editor for a scientific journal, focusing on editing, text revision, editorial management, and scientific and institutional communication. Experience in institutional communication and scientific outreach **What will you do?** Editorial professional for a scientific journal with knowledge and experience in: Editing and revision of scientific texts; familiarity with editorial workflows; and proficiency in the OJS system to support online article and journal management. Additionally, the role involves assisting in article selection and communicating with authors, reviewers, and editors, following the workflow defined in OJS. Editorial Advisory Services: Analysis and monitoring of the journal’s editorial workflow; Analysis and monitoring of the journal’s managerial and operational processes; Tracking applications to indexing databases; Critical analysis and proposal of editorial policies; Performing supplementary tasks in the submission system (configuration, registration, updating information, among others). Scientific Communication and Outreach: Creation and customization of institutional profiles on two social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn); Planning and execution of periodic posts (minimum of three per week); Dissemination of abstracts from articles published in the journal; Dissemination of abstracts from articles in other journals that cite this journal; Production and distribution of content about members of the editorial board and journal authors; Creation of calls for submissions and dissemination of author guidelines; Coordination with authors to generate supplementary content for publications; Production of journalistic and technical content on science, innovation, infrastructure, and public health; Writing for scientific journals, reports, press releases, institutional websites, and strategic materials. Institutional Communication and Identity: Supporting the development of COGIC/Fiocruz’s verbal and institutional identity; Liaising with technical teams to translate scientific language into content accessible to general and institutional audiences; Participating in the development of the unit’s brandbook and institutional communication guide. **What are the requirements?** * Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. * Knowledge or proven experience in scientific communication, editorial advisory services, and institutional communication.
