Job Summary: The Operational Supervisor will be responsible for leading teams, planning, coordinating, and supervising transportation and distribution activities, ensuring operational efficiency and on-time delivery. Monitoring of performance indicators and control of operational costs. **Responsibilities** Ensure fleet operational efficiency through planning, coordination, and supervision of transportation and distribution activities. The Operational Supervisor will lead operational teams, ensure route and deadline compliance, monitor performance indicators, and serve as the primary liaison between field operations and company management. Manage integrated fleet operations to guarantee productivity, safety, service quality for customers, and control of operational costs. **Main Activities** **Fleet Operational Management** * Plan and coordinate daily distribution routes, ensuring load optimization, on-time delivery, and reduced mileage. * Monitor vehicle loading and unloading processes, ensuring cargo integrity. * Monitor real-time operations using tracking and telematics systems. * Ensure fleet availability in coordination with the maintenance department. * Assign vehicles and drivers according to operational demand. * Identify opportunities for improvement in operational processes to enhance efficiency. **Team Leadership** * Supervise, guide, and develop operational teams composed of drivers, assistants, and dispatchers. * Conduct daily briefings to align routes, incidents, priorities, and goals. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide periodic feedback. * Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for new operational staff. * Manage work schedules, days off, vacations, and absenteeism control. * Promote a collaborative, results-oriented work environment. **Indicators and Results** * Monitor and ensure compliance with key operational indicators (KPIs), such as OTIF, cost per km, fuel consumption, accident rate, and cargo damage. * Prepare managerial reports on fleet productivity and efficiency. * Identify operational deviations and develop corrective and preventive action plans. * Control operational costs in accordance with the established budget. * Support management in data- and indicator-driven decision-making. **Safety and Compliance** * Ensure compliance with applicable transportation safety regulations, including NR\-11, NR\-12, and NR\-35 where relevant. * Ensure document validity for vehicles (registration, insurance, inspections) and drivers (driver's license, toxicological exams, mandatory training). * Develop and reinforce road safety and defensive driving culture. * Monitor incidents, accidents, cargo damage, and non-conformities, ensuring appropriate handling. * Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with internal safety procedures. **Customer and Partner Relations** * Serve as the focal point for internal and external customers regarding operational monitoring. * Handle delivery-related complaints and incidents promptly and professionally. * Maintain relationships with partner carriers and logistics suppliers where applicable. **Qualifications \- Education and Professional Experience** **Education:** * Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Production Engineering, or related fields. **Technical Knowledge:** * Route planning, tracking, and fleet management systems (GSTrack, Logtrack, OnixSat, Sismetrix or similar). * Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and KPI development). * Logistics KPI management and monitoring: OTIF, cost per delivery, kilometers driven, and fuel consumption. * Legislation applicable to road freight transportation. * Regulatory norms related to operations. * Basic knowledge of preventive and corrective fleet mechanics. **Professional Experience** * Experience in logistics operations, transportation, or distribution. * Proven experience leading and managing operational teams. * Experience monitoring performance indicators and controlling operational costs. * Experience in dynamic environments with high operational demand. **Requirements, Technical Qualifications, and Key Competencies** **Preferred Qualifications** **Requirements and Technical Qualifications:** * Ability to manage operations and monitor transportation processes. * Knowledge of route planning and resource optimization. * Ability to analyze indicators and develop action plans. * Knowledge of operational safety practices and documentation compliance. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in high-volume Last Mile logistics operations (retail, e\-commerce, or food sectors). * Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization and analysis tools. * Experience managing third-party fleets and partner carrier operations. * Defensive driving course and/or Dangerous Goods Transportation certification (MOPP). * Willingness to travel occasionally between branches.
