In 2026, the company is undergoing a growth cycle driven by new structuring projects, O\&M operations, and expansion initiatives (CAPEX), demanding excellence in logistics, international trade, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in highly complex operations. **About the Position** We are seeking an Industrial Automation and Data Engineer to join our Data & AI team. The professional will be a key player in Eneva’s strategic integration between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). The primary objective of this role is to design and implement scalable architectures, manage the deployment of industrial data tools, and deliver strategic shop-floor data to our analytical environment—generating value and insights for operations, with special focus on our thermal power plant processes. **Key Responsibilities** * **Automation Project Management:** Lead the centralized dashboard project for the Integrated Operations Center (COI), coordinating activities with automation teams across our various locations. * **Architecture and Integration:** Collaborate with IT and Automation teams to design and implement integration architectures, discuss protocol and firewall releases, ensure connectivity, and manage server provisioning. * **Process Mapping and Value Generation:** Apply process engineering expertise to map routines and requirements from Operations and Engineering teams, identifying opportunities where data utilization can enhance efficiency and value. * **Industrial Data Platform:** Implement and maintain the Cognite Data Fusion platform to contextualize and enrich industrial data, facilitating access and analysis. * **Data Provisioning:** Serve as the bridge between the shop floor and the analytical environment, ensuring correct data is captured at source and made available in a structured manner for consumption by business areas and data science teams. * **OT/IT Strategy:** Actively contribute to the OT/IT integration strategy, promoting technologies and architectures that ensure scalability, security, and governance. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Education** * Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. **Experience and Technical Knowledge** * Proven experience with the PI System (AVEVA) suite, including development and architecture. * Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC\-UA, Modbus) and networking and security concepts for automation environments. * Experience in projects involving integration between automation systems (OT) and corporate systems (IT). * Ability to map business processes and translate operational requirements into technical and data specifications. **Desirable** * Experience with industrial data platforms, especially Cognite Data Fusion. * Familiarity with Eneva’s Automation Technology (AT) architecture or other complex industrial environments. * Experience in thermal power plant processes or the energy sector. * Knowledge of cloud solution architectures (GCP, Azure, AWS). * Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with multiple stakeholders—from local operations to senior IT management. **Work Location:** Rio de Janeiro – RJ.
