**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Coordinate the monthly and annual accounting closing process, ensuring integrity, timeliness, and quality of financial statements;
* Supervise high-complexity account reconciliations and resolve structural discrepancies between accounting and finance;
* Analyze and validate profit-and-loss determination, applying critical judgment to significant variances and their impacts on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement;
* Lead inventory recognition and measurement (CPC 16\), including provisions and loss management across a multi-branch operation;
* Ensure correct application of CPC 47 for revenue recognition in retail and e-commerce operations;
* Establish, reverse, and review provisions (CPC 25\) based on technical analyses and legal opinions;
* Manage fixed asset controls across the entire network (125\+ stores and distribution centers), ensuring compliance with CPC 27;
* Serve as the technical reference for applying CPC 06 (IFRS 16\), including initial recognition, subsequent measurement, and derecognition of commercial real estate lease contracts;
* Coordinate the remeasurement of right-of-use assets upon each store lease renewal, termination, or contractual revision;
* Support the Controller’s Office in preparing management reports and information packages for leadership and potential external audits;
* Act as the technical liaison with independent auditors, responding accurately and substantively to their requests.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences; postgraduate studies in IFRS, Advanced Accounting, or Controllership are highly desirable;
* Minimum of 6 years’ experience in corporate accounting, preferably with mid-to-large-sized retail companies or Big Four firms;
* Proven experience with CPC 06 (IFRS 16\) in companies with a substantial portfolio of lease contracts;
* Proficiency in CPC 06, CPC 16, CPC 25, and CPC 47, with demonstrated ability to apply them practically and document technical positions;
* Experience in group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations;
* Familiarity with robust ERP systems (SAP, Totvs) and advanced Excel skills;
* Knowledge of SPED Contábil (ECD) and ECF as a qualified user.
