Job Description: Monitor and/or implement safety, health, and environmental protection programs by following or developing the following processes: PPRA, CIPA, CAT, DDS, etc.; supervise and monitor the use of PPE; control expiration dates of equipment and materials; prepare photographic reports; and conduct training sessions and onboarding activities for new employees. Responsibilities and Duties Distribute PPE daily to employees according to their assigned tasks; collect damaged PPE and segregate it accordingly; record in each employee’s personal file the PPE issued and the date of issuance, to enable notification to the Administrative Assistant for subsequent procurement, regulatory compliance, and preservation of employee physical integrity. Conduct daily inventory checks of all occupational safety materials (inflows and outflows), manually record shortages in a spreadsheet, and forward the list to the Administration Department for stock replenishment. Visit operational areas daily to inspect safety conditions. Conduct monthly vehicle inspections, personally checking brakes, headlights, etc.; notify third-party service providers if repairs are needed; document vehicle-related issues in a Word spreadsheet and submit findings to the Branch Manager to ensure vehicles remain in safe operating condition and safeguard employee safety. Perform risk analyses based on team activities to determine appropriate PPE, identify the safest work procedures, and enumerate potential hazards—aiming to preserve employee physical integrity. Conduct daily safety inspections, specify existing non-conformities at sites, prepare inspection reports, and forward them to the Branch Manager or responsible contractor to protect both employee physical integrity and the environment. Be responsible for managing all procedural steps related to the CIPA election process and preparing required CIPA documentation as stipulated by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, to comply with labor inspections. Ensure implementation of CIPA actions in accordance with the SMS (Safety Management System); identify needs; plan, execute, and evaluate industrial safety and environmental training programs. Monitor SESMT performance monthly—including number of accidents per department—by collecting incident notifications, compiling CATs (Work Accident Communication forms), analyzing accident data, establishing benchmarks, calculating lost work hours per department, and forwarding copies to the Branch Manager and CSN company for accident and lost-time tracking. Occasionally issue Excel-based incident analysis reports—using simulations or witness statements—to define corrective actions and send them to the area supervisor where the incident occurred, aiming to prevent recurrence of similar incidents. Occasionally complete an INSS CAT form online within 48 hours of an accident, specifying injury details, location and time of occurrence, causative agent, and causative circumstances; print and archive one copy, provide another to the injured employee, and submit electronically via the INSS portal to notify INSS, protect the employee from possible labor disputes, and shield the company from potential labor litigation. Occasionally coordinate fire extinguisher replacement or recharging, inspecting each unit individually and maintaining direct contact with the maintenance provider to ensure Triunfo is prepared for fire emergencies.
