**Description**
The Home-Based Speech-Language Pathologist will conduct assessment, prevention, and rehabilitation of swallowing and communication disorders, focusing on dysphagia and care for bedridden patients. Responsibilities include providing home-based services, determining therapeutic interventions, guiding family members, and monitoring clinical progress to ensure patient safety during feeding and improve quality of life.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
Conduct speech-language pathology assessments focused on dysphagia
Assess and monitor swallowing function in bedridden patients
Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans
Apply techniques for swallowing rehabilitation
Guide family members and caregivers regarding feeding safety
Monitor risk of bronchoaspiration
Document visits and clinical progress in medical records
Report complications to the multidisciplinary team

**Requirements and Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active CREFONO registration
Experience or knowledge in dysphagia and swallowing
Availability for home-based visits
