We are looking for a talent to fill the position of SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYST*.* **Let’s together transform collaboration into results?** **Responsibilities and Duties** **In this role, you will work at the EQUATORIAL ENERGIA/GO unit**, responsible for managing the environmental management process for high-voltage construction projects. Review some of the challenges you’ll face daily: **Environmental Management of Construction Projects** * Supervise implementation and updating of environmental programs linked to permits for transmission line and substation construction projects. * Ensure compliance with environmental conditions stipulated in preliminary (LP) and installation (LI) licenses, as well as associated authorizations. **Monitoring, Indicators, and Control** * Develop, track, and report environmental KPIs for construction projects—including compliance indicators, consulting performance, waste management, fauna, flora, socio-environmental aspects, and others. * Prepare management reports and support internal and external audits. **Environmental Inspection** * Plan and conduct on-site environmental inspections for high-voltage construction projects, ensuring legal and contractual compliance. * Guide construction teams regarding environmental requirements and mitigation measures. **Institutional Coordination** * Serve as the primary contact point with environmental agencies (municipal, state, and federal), providing information, tracking processes, and responding to official requests. * Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project, construction, legal, and other stakeholder teams to ensure alignment and fulfillment of environmental commitments. **Management of Consulting Firms** * Provide technical oversight of contracted firms delivering monitoring, consulting, and environmental programs. * Conduct technical evaluation of deliverables, validate outputs, and ensure adherence to deadlines, scope, and technical quality. **Document Control and Environmental Processes** * Support environmental licensing processes and authorization procedures for high-voltage construction projects. * Maintain an organized and up-to-date environmental documentation repository for construction projects. **Requirements and Qualifications** For this opportunity, we expect the following from you: **Mandatory Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in **Environmental Engineering**, **Biology**, **Geography**, **Environmental Management**, or related fields. * Proven experience in **environmental management of infrastructure construction projects**, preferably in the energy or electricity sector. * Experience with **environmental licensing**, compliance with license conditions, and implementation of environmental programs. * Ability to perform fieldwork and undertake frequent travel. * Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation (federal and state—particularly SEMAD/GO). * Strong interpersonal skills for engagement with environmental agencies. **Desirable Requirements** * Experience with **transmission line and substation projects**. * Familiarity with **GIS/SIG tools**. * Experience in managing environmental contracts and consulting firms. **Additional Information** **Why Apply:** Joining Grupo Equatorial means becoming part of a growing company with a culture that values continuous development, talent diversity, and commitment to the future.
