Clinical Laboratory Assistant (Night Shift)

Description

REQUIREMENTS: * Currently enrolled in a Technical Course in Clinical Analysis or Clinical Pathology. * No prior experience in this role is required. * Availability to work on a 12x36 schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for distributing biological materials according to the sample destination; * Responsible for monitoring daily pending reports; measuring temperatures of equipment used in production (refrigerator and freezer); cleaning and defrosting equipment; * Responsible for verifying boxes received from support centers and internal collection units; registering in the computerized system the dispatch of samples to be sent to MG; and measuring and recording the temperature of biological materials received from support centers and internal collection units; * Operating automated receiving equipment by removing and organizing racks, sorting them by destination; * Responsible for registering sample intake and generating worklists; verifying, storing, and distributing materials delivered by the warehouse; * Supporting the preparation of supplies (e.g., cork fabrication, tube filling, and labeling); * Other related duties.
