




The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for operating CNC lathe machines, following technical and quality specifications. This professional works in the production of ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts and metallic components, using machining programs and interpreting technical drawings. Performs measurements using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators; Adjusts cutting tools, conducts tests, and manages tooling control; Documents activities, such as completing production control sheets, recording statistical process control results, noting part references and maintenance incidents, updating tool layouts, and logging machine maintenance events. Works in compliance with safety, hygiene, quality, and environmental protection standards. May program CNC machining machines. * Set up the CNC lathe machine according to the machining process specifications * Read and interpret technical drawings for part production * Program the CNC machine according to work instructions * Operate the CNC lathe, monitoring the machining process and making adjustments as required * Measure machined parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy * Perform basic machine and cutting tool maintenance * Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness * Comply with occupational safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) * Collaborate with the production team to meet established goals and deadlines * Participate in training and skill development programs to enhance technical capabilities
