Clinical Analyst **Schedule:** 1:00 PM 5:00 PM 6:00 PM 10:00 PM Sat 4h **Location:** Praia Brava - Itajaí/SC. **Department:** Immunology **Requirements:** Bachelor's degree completed in Pharmacy, Biochemistry or Biomedicine. Active registration with the professional council. Laboratory automation. Basic computer skills. Office suite. **Job Mission:** Clinically analyze various biological materials ensuring quality across all three stages of the process (pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical) and provide scientific advisory to interested parties **Main Responsibilities:** **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1. Perform clinical analyses of various biological materials 2. Prepare and release reports for clinical analyses performed 3. Perform sample collection when necessary 4. Assume technical responsibility for collection units and/or branches 5. Provide technical guidance to laboratory assistants 6. Analyze and evaluate internal and external quality controls according to the laboratory's quality policy 7. Work according to technical biosafety standards 8. Request and approve material orders to the Support Logistics department 9. Participate in the development and implementation of new techniques and procedures 10. Provide diagnostic support to physicians when needed 11. Clarify client questions regarding test results upon request 12. Conduct feedback and performance evaluations of nursing technicians within their area of responsibility 13. Provide technical training to the entire technical team 14. Release supporting reports after verification 15. Participate in trainings and meetings 16. Assist in analyzing indicators within their area 17. Conduct all relevant pre-analytical trainings together with the collection leader 18. Monitor collection unit routines and implement improvements when appropriate 19. Perform verification and provide guidance on sample collection and test registration whenever requested 20. Support all activities assigned to the collection leader 21. Participate in internal audits 22. Propose improvement opportunities for non-conformities or potential non-conformities 23. Review and create documents 24. Perform patient/client service openings and registrations when necessary 25. Develop continuous improvement and innovation processes for the Quality Management System (QMS) together with the Quality team **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:** PRE-ANALYTICAL 1. Analyze activities and processes in the laboratory pre-analytical phase Develop continuous improvement and innovation processes for the Quality Management System (QMS) together with the Quality team 3. Act in compliance with, and ensure adherence to, the standards described in the Quality Manual. 4. Ensure effective communication between laboratory and cooperative departments 5. Conduct technical visits to collection sites 6. Monitor records of critical activities 7. Gather data and perform critical analysis of pre-analytical indicators 8. Establish a schedule for periodic trainings 9. Deliver trainings, record them and demonstrate their effectiveness **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:** SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY 1. Quantify and evaluate genetic tests when requested, with medical authorization as required 2. Evaluate support laboratories by establishing predefined policies and criteria 3. Respond to technical inquiries from clients/patients and physicians 4. Provide technical consulting and seek process improvements for laboratory departments 5. Act as leader for laboratory areas and related functions 6. Provide technical support to pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical departments 7. Provide technical support for triaging test submissions to support laboratories 8. Request, negotiate, code according to ANS ROL, and evaluate new test registrations with support laboratories based on patient, physician and institutional needs 9. Create and evaluate internal processes seeking continuous improvement 10. Define backup workflows for internal tests in case of contingency plan activation involving outsourcing of tests performed in the technical area 11. Seek new technologies for internalizing tests according to laboratory demand Perform other related duties as required by the responsibilities of their operational unit and the nature of their work, as directed by superiors.
