1\. Production Order (PO) Planning The PCP analyst converts sales orders or inventory forecasts into Production Orders. In the textile industry, this involves: Defining what will be cut, sewn, and finished. Grouping orders by fabric type or color to optimize machine utilization. Prioritizing POs according to the delivery date agreed upon with the customer. 2\. Inventory and Materials Management (MRP) Before sewing begins, the PCP must ensure no materials are missing. This includes: Raw materials: Fabrics and knits. Trims: Threads, buttons, zippers, elastic bands, and labels. Consumption calculation: Verifying whether the available fabric stock is sufficient for the requested size range (S, M, L). 3\. Machine and Subcontractor Scheduling The textile industry often relies on external processes or different internal work cells. The PCP must: Decide which models will be produced in each sewing cell. Manage the dispatch and return of garments to external subcontractors (third-party service providers). Schedule machine downtime for maintenance of cutting machines or automated sewing equipment. 4\. Time Study and Line Balancing To ensure smooth production flow, the PCP must understand time requirements: Standard Time: Knowing how many minutes it takes to sew a specific garment. Balancing: Distributing tasks among seamstresses to avoid bottlenecks (e.g., one operator overloaded while the next waits idle). 5\. Monitoring and Control (Follow-up) Planning alone is insufficient; adherence to the plan must be tracked: Collecting daily production data (how many garments were completed). Identifying delays and quickly adjusting the schedule. Conducting quality control and loss tracking (fabric remnants or defective garments). Summary of Required Competencies To perform these functions effectively, the professional uses tools such as: Spreadsheets (Excel): For productivity calculations and scheduling. ERP systems: To record material inflows and outflows. Logical reasoning: To solve logistics problems and meet tight deadlines. Payment: R$1\.700,00 \- R$2\.000,00 per month Benefits: * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Fuel allowance * Meal voucher * Transportation voucher Work location: On-site
