Boya Lavalier Microphone for iPhone

Microphone barely used. I thought it would work for recording my instrument, but it is designed for voice. Excellent for creating mobile content, podcasts, interviews, etc.? It is almost brand new—I connected it once and used it, but it did not capture instrument sound well.
