**About the Opportunity:**
Alcoa is seeking a **Chemistry Technician I A**, to join our team at the Poços de Caldas/MG facility, responsible for performing shift handover routines and staying updated on the current status of processes, equipment, and procedures. Actively participate in Daily Safety Meetings (DDS), contribute comments, carefully review tips and notices, and sign knowledge and dissemination lists on the first day they appear in the DDS, among other duties.
**Other key responsibilities include:**
* Consult LACDM Poços de Caldas (BPAP) procedures and contact the leader, chemist, or supervisor when unclear about any procedure or instruction prior to execution;
* Conduct Task Safety Analyses (TSA) for tasks selected in the DDS as close as possible to the actual task timing. Report observed abnormalities at sampling points to operations and group leader;
* Use the “STOP and ask for help” protocol whenever in doubt, perceiving risk, or encountering an unusual situation for which you lack experience to resolve;
* Collect samples from the Refinery, visiting designated sampling points at specified locations and times. Sort and organize samples/items received from Chemicals/Milling areas;
* Maintain all sampling materials properly—keeping them clean, clearly identified, and fit for use. Prepare and analyze bauxite, lime, and Bayer Process samples within quality and safety standards. Prepare solutions for analysis under supervision of a more experienced technician;
* Evaluate and release analytical results in laboratory systems and LIMS;
* Among other duties.
**What you can bring to this role:**
* Technical qualification in Chemistry — registered with CRQ;
* Driver’s license category B;
* Residency in Poços de Caldas/MG.
