




Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Scientist with a background in Physics, Mathematics, or related fields to develop and implement Python/Django architectures and analyze geographic data to solve real-world problems such as agricultural route optimization. Analyze geographic data and solve real-world problems We seek an IN-PERSON professional based in Porto Alegre, with a degree in Physics, Mathematics, or related fields—or proven analytical capability—to join our Data Science team. This role involves using specialized libraries to manipulate and analyze complex data. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Python and Django architectures for spatial analysis systems. Process and analyze geographic data using tools such as PostGIS, integrating libraries including Pandas, GeoPandas, Geocoder, Rasterio, Redis, GDAL, and NumPy. Apply analytical methods to solve real-world problems, such as agricultural route optimization, soil mapping, or harvest forecasting based on spatial data. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate data solutions into operational workflows. Conduct testing, debugging, and code optimization to ensure efficiency and scalability. Generate data reports and visualizations. Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics. Proven experience — 3 years. Knowledge of geographic data processing and libraries such as Pandas, GeoPandas, Rasterio, and NumPy. Demonstrated experience or interest in applying analytical methods to solve real-world problems, preferably in the agribusiness sector or related areas. Skills in data analysis, problem solving, and teamwork. Excellent communication in Portuguese (technical English is a plus). Availability for in-person work.
