**Eaton is seeking a Tool Preparer (Production) to work in Valinhos.** **Please attach your updated resume in PDF or WORD format in the designated field.** If you are an internal candidate (#E), please apply via Eaton Jobs (Intranet > Joe > EatonJobs) **What you’ll do:** ------------------- **PRIMARY FUNCTION:** * Perform pre-assembly and assembly of tooling to be used on CNC and conventional machines. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** 1\. Sort and assemble tool kits for manufacturing, as well as assemble adjustable gauges, electronic plugs, and other measuring instruments. 2\. Assemble and adjust cutting tools (e.g., end mills, drills, reamers) and preset them on electronic measuring machines (e.g., Zoller). 3\. Assemble and zero HOB and SHAPPER cutters on dedicated benchtop equipment. 4\. Serve internal customers at the counter by issuing and receiving cutting tools, inspecting their condition, and reviewing developed tools (tool life cards). 5\. Store, control, and operate engraving machines (e.g., Seco Point), as well as control, store, and send measuring instruments for calibration. 6\. Visually inspect process sheets stored, sent, and received from manufacturing, requesting replacements and corrections in case of loss, shortage, or errors found on process sheets. 7\. Conduct visual inspection to reuse engraving tools for machines and regrinding. 8\. Move tool assemblies, when authorized, using a forklift. 9\. Comply with standards and procedures related to quality management, environmental, occupational health and safety systems. 10\. Apply 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain), eliminating waste and maintaining an organized and clean workplace, as well as machines and equipment used. 11\. Perform other related duties as directed by your immediate supervisor and/or per your work process procedures and/or per quality system procedures. **Qualifications:** ------------------- **MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:** * Completed high school education and/or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or related field * Minimum six months of experience in machining, engineering, or tool management environments * Availability to work all shifts (Administrative, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts) **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** * Knowledge of mechanical assembly and disassembly * Familiarity with cutting tools and machining equipment * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Understanding of tool wear * Knowledge of measuring instruments (calipers/universal instruments) * Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite * Forklift operator certification preferred * Basic English language proficiency * Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools **Skills:** ----------- Eaton announced on January 26, 2026, its intention to separate its Mobility Group (including Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company.
