Focus on quality and food safety **Perishable and Non-Perishable Department Leader** **Position Summary:** The Perishable and Non-Perishable Department Leader is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, organization, replenishment, and commercial performance of the departments under their supervision. They directly manage personnel, monitor performance indicators, and develop their team, ensuring compliance with quality standards, food safety, and customer service. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure product replenishment, pricing, display, and layout in accordance with commercial strategies and promotional calendars; * Monitor departmental performance by analyzing indicators such as shrinkage, losses, margin, and inventory turnover; * Supervise routine procedures for expiration date control, cleaning, and product preservation—especially in perishable departments; * Lead, train, and develop the team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment; * Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and loss prevention teams to ensure efficient operations; * Address and resolve customer requests and complaints with empathy and solution-focused approaches. **Desirable Qualifications:** * Knowledge of inventory management, expiration date control, and FEFO (First Expired, First Out); * Product display and layout techniques (merchandising); * Ability to read and interpret performance indicators (P&L, margin, sales, shrinkage, stockouts); * Food safety practices and sanitary regulations (ANVISA and MAPA); * Intermediate-level Microsoft Office proficiency; * Experience with management systems (retail ERP—preferred). **Required Qualifications:** * Completed high school education (ongoing undergraduate studies are a plus); * Prior experience leading teams in the food retail sector; * Hands-on experience in perishable departments (butchery, produce, bakery, rotisserie, deli) and non-perishable departments; * Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays; * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
