




The Occupational Safety Technician in the forestry sector is responsible for planning, guiding, and monitoring field operational activities, ensuring that all processes comply with safety standards, environmental preservation requirements, and legal compliance. **Key Responsibilities** * Conduct safety inspections in forestry transportation and support areas. * Develop and monitor **JSA (Job Safety Analysis)**, **PT (Work Permit)**, and other sector-specific legal documents. * Deliver mandatory and forestry-specific training programs. * Investigate and analyze accidents and near-misses, proposing corrective and preventive actions. * Monitor OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) indicators and implement action plans. * Ensure compliance with **NR-31 (Occupational Safety and Health in Rural Work)** and other applicable NRs. * Support managers and field teams in adopting safety best practices; promote internal awareness campaigns. * Participate in internal and external audits, supporting implementation of ISO standards. **Education** * **Occupational Safety Technician** with active registration at the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE). * Additional education in forestry, agro-industry, environmental science, or related fields is desirable. **Forestry-Specific Courses (Desirable)** * NR-31 – Occupational Safety and Health in Rural Work. * NR-35 – Working at Heights. * NR-33 – Confined Space Operations. * Safe Forestry Operations. * Forest Firefighting. * Defensive Driving (with emphasis on forest roads). * First Aid and Rescue in Rural Areas. * Field Risk Analysis Course (JSA, APR). **Desired Skills** * Proficiency in digital tools (spreadsheets, inspection applications, audit platforms). * Driving experience in rural areas. * Ability to read operational maps and sketches. * Leadership in crisis management (e.g., fires, accidents, medical emergencies). * Adaptability to external routines and frequent travel.
