Extrusion Operator

Description

We are hiring an **Extrusion Machine Operator** to join our company in the **plastic profiles** sector. **Job Objective:** Ensure rapid, safe, and efficient preparation of extrusion lines, reducing setup times, increasing equipment availability, and guaranteeing product quality from the start of production. **Key Responsibilities:** · Perform setup and changeovers of machines / calibrators / dies on extrusion lines. · Execute machine adjustments (temperature, pressure, speed, calibration) prior to part launch. · Act directly to reduce setup time (SMED), identifying and implementing improvements together with the process engineer. · Prepare materials, consumables, and fixtures before changeovers to avoid unnecessary downtime. · Support operators during machine startups. · Identify and eliminate process waste (time, motion, rework). · Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to optimize the process. · Follow operational standards and propose continuous improvements. · Maintain area organization (5S). · Specific Setup Reduction Activities · Categorize activities as: Internal (with machine stopped) and External (with machine running). · Convert internal activities into external ones whenever possible. · Standardize tools and changeover processes. · Use quick-setup checklists. · Prepare setup kits in advance. · Reduce fine-tuning through standards and parameterization. **Requirements:** · Completed high school education · Experience in extrusion (plastics, films, tubes, profiles, etc.) · Hands-on experience with industrial machine setup · Extrusion processes · Reading machine parameters · SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) concepts · Basic knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing) · Fundamental metrology · Technical course preferred (plastics, mechanics, production, or related fields) **Advantages:** Experience with Lean projects Participation in Kaizen events Knowledge of process standardization Working hours: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Join our team!
