Description:
Education: Technical course in Occupational Safety at the secondary level, with active professional registration at the Ministry of Labor (MTE / current Secretariat of Labor).
Main Responsibilities and Duties
1. Risk Prevention and Control
* Inspections: Conduct periodic inspections of workplaces, machinery, equipment, and operational processes to identify and assess risks (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and accident-related).
* Accident Investigation: Investigate and analyze causes of work-related accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and propose preventive and corrective measures to avoid recurrence.
* Control Measures: Suggest and implement risk control measures, such as proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE).
2. Training and Awareness
* Training: Develop, organize, and deliver mandatory training (e.g., onboarding for new employees, CIPA, PPE usage, NR-05, NR-10, NR-35, etc.).
* Communication: Promote campaigns, lectures, and events on occupational safety and health to raise employee awareness.
3. Documentation and Legal Compliance
* Programs and Documents: Develop, manage, and review mandatory occupational safety and health documents, including:
* PGR (Risk Management Program)
* PCMSO (Occupational Health Surveillance Program), coordinated with the Occupational Physician.
* Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA).
* Service Orders (SO).
* Accident Reporting: Issue the Work Accident Communication (CAT) when required.
* CIPA and SESMT: Participate in and coordinate activities of the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA) and serve as a member of the Specialized Services in Occupational Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine (SESMT).
4. Support and Monitoring
* Monitor and supervise compliance with safety regulations by third-party companies.
* Maintain organized and up-to-date occupational safety and health documentation for audits and inspections.
* Participate in emergency action planning (fire fighting, first aid, and evacuation plans).
