Further, the Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring that the day to day activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits. The Electrical Technician shall be an authorized professional according to the requirements of NR\-10, in order to provide services in electric systems. **Duties** ---------- * Carry out repair and planned maintenance (PM) work on the electrical power installation, utilities and ensure that the electrical installation complies with the applicable rules and regulations. * Perform condition monitoring and troubleshooting of power plant, electrical distribution system and Power Management System as per Computerized Maintenance Management System * Report the E\&I status of the installation and any changes/modifications made or other matter of importance to his/her superior. * Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan * Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System * Follow PTW system, Prepare Permits. Follow the Permit to work procedures, rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities * Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Produce reports, update records, generate work orders; * Maintain Ex rating of electrical equipment as per design * + Assist in pre\-commissioning and commissioning * Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities Furthermore, the Electrical Technician must perform the work required by his superior and perform tasks according to company procedures, including administrative or operational tasks. **HSE Responsibility** ---------------------- * Responsible for maintaining a high degree of awareness. * Lead by doing; setting an example for others. * Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions or situations. * If you observe anything unsafe use the ‘Stop Work’ Policy. **Qualifications** ------------------ General education, certificates and experience: * Technical education as Electrical, Electronics or Electrotechnical. * Related professional council (CFT, CREA, etc) for Brazilians. * Experience from offshore installation or other relevant experience. * Advanced english. **Note 1:** * *In order to comply with the Safe Manning Card issued by the Flag State or Brazilian Maritime Authority, one (1\) of these professionals shall be certified in STCW rule III/6 (ETO), also shown by means of endorsement/seaman’s book.* * *In order to comply with the Safe Manning Card issued by the Flag State or Brazilian Maritime Authority, one (1\) of these professionals shall be certified in STCW rule III/7, also shown by means of endorsement/seaman’s book.* * *Personnel that are unfamiliar with the high voltage system onboard shall have a three\-month introduction period with the system, before allowed to carry out work that requires high voltage authorization.* * *When Personnel can document experience from identical or very similar installations, the introduction period can be reduced.* If you want to team up with us as we dream and stride towards a better tomorrow – we would love to hear from you!
