




Job Summary: A kitchen professional responsible for assisting in food pre-preparation, preparation, and processing while maintaining kitchen order and cleanliness. Key Highlights: 1. Careful maintenance of materials and equipment **Mission:** Assists other kitchen staff in food pre\-preparation, preparation, and processing; dish assembly; and area cleaning, maintaining kitchen order and cleanliness; performing tray, cutlery, etc. collection and washing. Provides general stewarding support and assists in setting up thermal counters. **RESPONSIBILITIES** Responsible for keeping the workplace and equipment required for general food preparation organized; Supports the cook by sorting various food items; Peels, cuts, grates, and performs other food handling tasks as directed by a nutritionist or head chef; Checks expiration dates; Verifies food condition according to Sanitary Surveillance regulations; Participates in training programs when requested; Ensures maintenance, cleaning, preservation, storage, and control of all materials, devices, equipment, and the work area; Observes occupational safety regulations; Performs tasks pertinent to the role; Performs other duties compatible with the requirements of the position. **Required Qualifications** Completed high school education and relevant experience.
