Job Summary: Mechanical Lathe Operator responsible for operating lathes, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring machining of metal parts. Key Highlights: 1. Operation of conventional and CNC lathes 2. Reading and interpretation of technical drawings 3. Inspection of manufactured parts Industry seeks a Mechanical Lathe Operator in Novo Hamburgo (Liberdade). **Responsibilities:** Read and interpret technical drawings, measuring instruments, and production orders. Perform machine setup (tool mounting, workpiece clamping, adjustments, and calibrations). Operate conventional and/or CNC lathes as required. Machine metal parts according to specifications, tolerances, and requested surface finish. Monitor cutting process parameters including speed, feed rate, and part dimensions during operation. Make fine adjustments to the machine when necessary. Inspect manufactured parts using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, dial indicators, and other measuring tools. Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance on the lathe. Record production data and report irregularities to the immediate supervisor. Previous experience as Lathe Operator, Precision Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, or CNC Lathe Programmer may indicate suitability for some activities of this position.
