An Occupational Safety professional responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies; identifying hazards; inspecting equipment; and ensuring legal compliance.

**What you’ll do:**

Develops and participates in implementing the EHS policy; participates in expert assessments and inspections; supports the adoption of technologies and work processes; identifies risks in processes and recommends preventive and control measures; inspects machinery and equipment; manages document and license renewals; performs activities to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices established in the corporation's internal programs; and supports incident investigations.
* Annually develop and monitor the PPRA – Environmental Risk Prevention Program – by collecting data from work areas and analyzing environmental reports per job position, as well as analyzing the environmental structure of work areas, preparing risk reports for each function, and determining the need for PPE – Personal Protective Equipment or collective protective equipment (CPE), in accordance with NR-9, while also providing technical support to the Occupational Health Department by supplying data for developing the PCMSO – Occupational Health Surveillance Program.
* Develop and participate in implementing the Environmental, Health, and Safety policy by defining procedures, cascading them across departments, evaluating and identifying controls, and analyzing accidents, thereby ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices established in the corporation's internal programs.
* Conduct educational initiatives through employee guidance, training sessions, meetings, and follow-up actions to strengthen the Zero Accident Culture.
* Participate in expert assessments and inspections by liaising with regulatory inspectors, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and maintaining contact with public agencies.
* Maintain documentation archives and prepare technical reports.
* Support the adoption of technologies and work processes by issuing opinions on equipment, machinery, and processes, assessing the impact of proposed measures, and establishing risk controls.
**Qualifications:**

**Mandatory:**
* Availability to work the 2nd shift
* Completed Technical Course in Occupational Safety
* Solid experience in industrial environments (shop floor) as an Occupational Safety Technician
* Knowledge of risk analysis and management
* Knowledge of and ability to apply legal requirements
* Basic knowledge of ergonomics, with capacity to support ergonomic assessments and recommendations
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint for developing spreadsheets, charts, controls, and presentations
**Desirable:**
* Certification as an Internal Auditor for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001)
* Certification as an Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems
* Knowledge of Environmental Management
