We want to meet you! **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your Role as a Transformation Protagonist:** Develop and evolve backend applications in Python with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability Design, implement, and maintain well-structured RESTful APIs Integrate and manage databases (SQL and NoSQL), including DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch Work on the development and operation of systems on AWS (EKS, managed services, etc.) Write and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and best practices Collaborate with product and data teams in defining technical solutions Contribute to the evolution of architecture and engineering practices **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We’re Looking for to Join Our \#TopazTeam:** * Solid experience with **Python in production environments** * *Strong knowledge of **REST API development*** * *Experience with **relational and non-relational databases**, including AWS DynamoDB, Redshift, MongoDB, and RDS.* * Experience with **AWS** and infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Terraform) * Experience with **automated testing** * *Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)* * *Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams* * *Ability to make technical decisions autonomously* **Nice-to-Have:** * Experience with **distributed architecture / microservices** * *Knowledge of **observability (logs, metrics, tracing)*** * *Experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch.* * *Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.* * *Knowledge of information security and secure development practices.* * *Experience with CI/CD and test automation tools.* * *Use of AI tools for development, such as Claude Code* * *Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities.* **Additional Information** Your experience at Topaz is our top priority!
