Well-defined scope of work Job Opening: Tax Assistant We are seeking a **Tax Assistant** to support the company’s tax routines, with emphasis on **reading and checking tax invoices and analyzing tax information**, ensuring compliance and data quality. This position has a **well-defined scope**, **no responsibility for bookkeeping, preparation or submission of ancillary obligations**, nor involvement in audits or interaction with other departments. Main Responsibilities: * Reading, checking and validating **Input, Output and Service Tax Invoices** (NF-e, NFS-e, CT-e). * Analysis of **CFOP, CST, CSOSN, NCM, tax rates and tax incidence** (ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS and COFINS). * **Analysis and verification of the Fiscal SPED (EFD ICMS/IPI) and Contribution SPED**, checking data consistency and identifying discrepancies. * **Analysis of information included in ancillary obligations**, supporting the identification of inconsistencies and classification errors, **without preparing or submitting** such obligations. * Organization and control of tax documents. Requirements: * Prior experience as a **Tax Assistant** or in similar tax routines. * Practical knowledge of **reading and interpreting tax invoices**. * Experience with **analysis of Fiscal SPED and Contribution SPED**. * Basic to intermediate knowledge of **ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS and COFINS**. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in accounting firms or medium/large companies. * Familiarity with tax/accounting systems. * Knowledge of tax legislation applicable to daily tax routines.
