That’s what ***\\\#LifeAtCummins*** is all about. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** We are seeking a talented **Packaging Technician II** to join our team in **Guarulhos, SP | CBL, CDBS (Meritor), and PDC (onsite position).** **Key Responsibilities:** * Support and develop packaging solutions for both production and non-production materials (KLTs, metal containers, dedicated racks). * Participate in new product and project development processes together with customers and suppliers. * Drive cost reduction, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives related to packaging. * Develop and review packaging instructions, considering safety, ergonomics, cost, and stacking standards. * Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams on packaging development. * Ensure compatibility of materials with existing packaging, proposing continuous improvements. * Support and implement alternative packaging solutions with suppliers/customers when standard packaging is unavailable, ensuring continuity of the logistics flow. * Support the area lead in VPCRs, VPIs, and meetings with project teams and stakeholders. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Skills:** * Collaborates — Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. * **Communicates Effectively — Develops and delivers communication in various formats to clearly convey understanding of specific needs for diverse audiences. Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively across multiple functions (Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and Customer Service)** * Customer Focus — Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-oriented solutions. * Decision Quality — Makes sound, timely decisions to ensure business progress. * Drives Results — Achieves consistent results, even under challenging circumstances. * Ensures Accountability — Holds self and others accountable for meeting commitments. * Self-Development — Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels. * Principles of Environmentally Sustainable Packaging — Describes selection of environmentally sustainable packaging materials and their impact across the life cycle, outlining selection criteria, performance considerations, and application in design to achieve goals of reduce, reuse, recycle, or recover. * Integration of Industrial Packaging Operations — Demonstrates and applies knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and physical material flows from incoming parts to finished goods to establish industrial packaging methods and equipment that integrate safely and efficiently into the operational environment. * Packaging Distribution Conditions and Dynamics — Recognizes environmental conditions and dynamic forces applied to packaging across supply chains, explaining associated hazards and requirements that ensure product protection. * Packaging Material Knowledge — Demonstrates benefits of using different packaging media, articulating their physical properties, types, and characteristics to select appropriate packaging materials for application, product protection, cost, and environmental impact. * Returnable Packaging Management — Gathers and analyzes financial data, fleet sizing, tracking, maintenance, logistics monitoring requirements, and performance metrics to develop a returnable packaging program that reduces material and transportation costs and minimizes waste. * Values Differences — Recognizes the value that diverse perspectives and cultures bring to the organization. * Practical, analytical, and organized profile. * Focus on problem solving and continuous improvement. * Autonomy, accountability, and attention to detail. **Requirements** * Intermediate/Advanced Excel (cubic volume analysis, turnover rates, etc.) * ERP (Oracle or similar) * AutoCAD / SolidWorks * PowerPoint — for developing technical presentations — Preferred * Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related fields. * English — Preferred * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Knowledge of part protection and containment methods (foams, separators, films) — Preferred * Familiarity with automotive packaging standards (VDA, MMOG/LE) — Preferred * Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B) required. * Willingness to travel. \*\*For this position, a test (questions) on SolidWorks and technical drawing will be administered.
