Job Summary: Perform nursing procedures and patient care for individuals undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, supporting comprehensive care across the institution's units. Work in the Surgical Center, Obstetric Center, and Inpatient Units * Perform nursing procedures and patient care for institutional patients undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, following technical guidelines; * Assist in preparation and administration of medications, monitoring of vital signs, hygiene, feeding, repositioning, wound dressings, and other comprehensive patient care activities across various institutional units (Surgical Center, Obstetric Center, Central Sterile Supply Department, Outpatient Clinics, and Inpatient Units), aiming to prevent adverse events. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform nursing procedures and patient care for institutional patients undergoing clinical or surgical treatment, in accordance with medical and nursing prescriptions, assisting in medication preparation and administration, vital sign monitoring, hygiene, feeding, repositioning, wound dressings, and specimen collection for diagnostic tests across various institutional units (Surgical Center, Obstetric Center, Central Sterile Supply Department, Outpatient Clinics, and Inpatient Units), always adhering to internal protocols and received technical guidance; * Transfer patients from the preoperative area to the Surgical Center and Obstetric Center, verifying surgical documentation; set up and circulate the operating room, anticipating required materials, medications, and equipment per established surgical procedure standards, perform nursing documentation, complete surgical room expense forms, verify instruments used during the procedure, and request concurrent cleaning; * Assist pregnant women during the pre-labor period and newborns in the delivery room, identifying them with wristbands; accompany physicians or nurses when transporting newborns to the nursery using a transport incubator; execute medical and nursing prescriptions; administer medications; provide general care during the newborn’s first hours of life and for the postpartum mother, including bathing, umbilical cord stump dressing, guiding mothers on breastfeeding, collecting specimens for PKU testing, assisting with phototherapy treatments, and monitoring for signs of hypothermia and hypoglycemia in newborns; * Restock outpatient clinics with necessary supplies and medications, request concurrent cleaning of those areas, and perform procedures prescribed by physicians or nurses; * Escort patients to specific examinations at the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support Service or to specialized outpatient consultations, transporting them via wheelchair or stretcher according to their physical condition; * Notify the nurse immediately in case of patient complications, to assess whether the attending physician must be alerted; * Review control and systematization charts completed by the responsible nurse for service documentation and billing purposes; * Perform surgical instrument tray assembly, cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, storage, and distribution, using appropriate cleaning solutions and autoclaves for sterilization; * Monitor minimum stock levels of supplies and medications, conduct inventory checks, request replenishment from the pharmacy, and return items if discontinued by the physician; * Participate in shift handovers; * Complete nursing documentation; * Respond to patient and companion requests (verbally or via call button system); * Submit warehouse requisitions as directed by the nurse in the absence of the clerk; * Maintain cleanliness and integrity of the unit’s sector and permanent equipment, reporting to the nurse any need for repair of equipment, facilities, or infrastructure; * Perform other duties as required or at the discretion of the unit nurse. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Completed Nursing Assistant training program; * Active COREN registration; * Prior experience in this role is desirable. **Additional Information** 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM \- 6 days on / 1 day off **SPDM** \- Paulista Association for Medical Development is a non-profit, philanthropic civil association, federally, state, and municipally recognized as being of public utility, under Decrees No. 57\.925 dated 03/04/1966, No. 40\.103 dated 05/17/1962, and No. 8\.911 dated 07/30/1970, respectively.
