Collaboration with universities and research centers **Description and Responsibilities:** **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM **Level:** Not Specified **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT **Designing and executing applied research projects related to engines.** **WHAT YOU WILL DO** * Design and conduct R&D research and projects following scientific methodology, specifically applied research and experimental development of products, processes, and manufacturing prototypes. * Plan and monitor project and research stages to meet the research work plan. * Define information to be collected or generated, providing technical guidance to the team conducting the research. * Conduct tests and trials according to qualifications and specific expertise. * Analyze collected data and materials required for the research. Develop, define, and monitor reports guiding project execution. * Present research results and account for resources used according to established standards. * Solve unprecedented problems involving complex and poorly structured variables, creatively applying knowledge while considering impacts on production processes and the environment. * Propose technical projects and activities aligned with established norms and procedures. * Work in accordance with procedures defined by the Project Management Office. * Write proposals to secure external funding and provide accountability, following corporate guidelines. * Take responsibility for executing collaborative projects with entities, universities, research and development centers, funding agencies, companies, and industries to develop new areas of activity. * Act as a multiplier in training SENAI/SP network professionals through courses, lectures, workshops, and mentoring postgraduate students involved in ongoing research projects. * Publish scientific articles and present research works and projects in specialized journals, websites, and conferences. **Applications accepted until May 05, 2026** **Requirements:** **WHAT WE CONSIDER IMPORTANT FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY** **Essential Requirements:** Education: Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering or related fields. Previous experience in collaborative and multidisciplinary projects involving universities, ICTs, or companies is desirable. **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU DAILY:** * Knowledge of test benches for performance, calibration, and emissions testing of internal combustion engines * Knowledge of injection and ignition systems and ECU programming stages * Familiarity with engine and powertrain component design in CAD environments * Experience in technical management of work packages (WP), including planning, resource allocation, and delivery assurance * Ability to make technical decisions, resolve complex problems, and validate results * Capacity to serve as the primary technical liaison with specific external partners (companies and research institutions) * Competence to guide and mentor junior researchers (Researcher I) and postgraduate scholarship holders * Leadership and organization of technical execution teams, managing ongoing activities and monitoring completion deadlines * Proactivity and willingness to support the research team in practical and technical tasks related to ongoing projects * Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, communicating clearly with researchers and other involved professionals * Advanced English proficiency **ATTENTION!
