Line Optimization and Defect Reduction **Process Engineer (Plastic Injection) – Level I** **Department: Engineering** The Process Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and scalability of our production, meeting the specifications and volumes demanded by automotive OEMs. **Essential Knowledge and Skills:** * **Fundamentals of Plastic Injection Molding Processes**: Basic knowledge of plastic part manufacturing processes, including material preparation, injection, cooling, ejection, and finishing (trimming, post\-molding machining). * **Continuous Improvement**: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and basic quality tools (process flowcharts, Ishikawa diagrams, 5 Whys). * **Introduction to APQP and PPAP**: Understanding the importance of APQP from the process perspective and PPAP validation requirements. **Preferred Experience:** * 3–6 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing, preferably in plastic injection or automotive industries. * Demonstrated success in line optimization and defect reduction. **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. **Soft Skills:** * **Observation and Analysis**: Ability to observe processes, collect data, and identify improvement opportunities. * **Organization**: Maintain accurate records and organize process-related information. * **Teamwork**: Actively collaborate with production operators, technicians, and product engineers. * **Attention to Detail**: Essential for ensuring process compliance and part quality. * **Willingness to Learn**: Openness to learning new technologies and process optimization methodologies.
