They provide support by sorting and cleaning utensils and food items. They peel, cut, grate, and perform other food-handling tasks as directed by a dietitian or chef. Checking expiration dates, verifying the condition of food items, and monitoring stock availability in accordance with Sanitary Surveillance regulations are also part of the kitchen assistant's duties.
