Management of cross-functional teams and resolution of complex problems. **Job Description** This position requires on-site work in Contagem, MG. **Who will you work with?** The Integration Department is responsible for ensuring that key phases of each project are completed with quality, on time, and aligned with our customers’ requirements. The Technical Project Manager role is strategic and encompasses the management and leadership of projects from a technical perspective, ensuring all groups involved in development, validation, and implementation are aligned and effective in their respective responsibilities. **How will you make a difference?** The TPM (Technical Project Manager) will be responsible for managing project-specific activities related to design, quality, resources, and scheduling. This position serves as the primary point of contact with customers’ engineering teams, with the responsibility to technically facilitate scope definition, design assignment, standards, quality, and ensure adherence to all processes. This role will also ensure engineering tasks are completed on time, within budget, and meet customer requirements. **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field. * Experience in signaling and communications within the railway industry; * Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, appropriate to the audience; * Self-motivated, with proven ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills; * Ability to build high levels of credibility and positive relationships with subordinates, peers, and managers; * Technical writing skills; * Familiarity with current railway industry rules and regulations; * Familiarity with train control system design practices; * Knowledge of task workload distribution and effort tracking for projects executed by team members; * Knowledge of software architecture; * Knowledge of functional requirements specification for projects; * Experience in QA and software validation processes; * Ability to guide cross-functional teams and foster interdepartmental collaboration; * Advanced English communication skills (oral and written); * Critical analysis and complex problem-solving abilities; **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Serve as the technical and methodological reference within the Integration Department. * Propose PTC solution designs to be implemented for each customer and each project. * Work with the customer to define project scope and schedule. * Lead design and quality activities to deliver the defined scope of work. * Coordinate design and software submissions/distributions. * Ensure change management is properly communicated across different design and quality teams, as well as to the customer. * Conduct periodic project progress reviews. * Communicate with all design teams regarding changes in standards, typicals, and quality issues. * Ensure all quality processes and stages have been completed. * Manage integration testing and lead defect management and resolution. * Coordinate teams in building a PTC solution meeting agreed-upon objectives with the customer. * Coordinate laboratory and field testing. **Benefits:** At Wabtec, people come first.
