Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary: A Speech-Language Pathologist responsible for the assessment, therapy, and rehabilitation of patients, covering communication, speech, voice, and swallowing, as well as teaching and research activities. Key Highlights: 1. Assess and determine appropriate food consistency for hospitalized patients 2. Conduct speech-language habilitation and rehabilitation therapies 3. Participate in teaching, research, and administrative activities Evaluate patients upon admission within 24 business hours and determine appropriate food consistency, if applicable. Assess communication, speech, voice, and orofacial musculature integrity. Provide services to all patients with speech-language pathology needs according to internal scheduling protocols. Conduct therapies (habilitation and rehabilitation) and improve speech-language aspects related to oral and written language, voice, fluency, articulation, speech, and orofacial, cervical, and swallowing myofunctional systems when impaired. Participate in admission workshops and support patient and family transitions of care. Carry out teaching, research, and administrative duties specific to the position. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; * Active professional registration with the Regional Council of Speech-Language Pathology; * Prior experience in this role; * Postgraduate training in hospital settings and/or Hospital Residency in Speech-Language Pathology is desirable.
