Description
**CNC Operator – Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Cutting**
**Main Responsibilities**
* Operate CNC cutting machines (plasma and oxy-fuel), ensuring precision and quality in the production process;
* Interpret technical drawings, production orders, and part specifications;
* Perform sheet metal and material setup on the machine, carrying out necessary adjustments and calibrations;
* Configure cutting parameters, such as speed, temperature, and gas usage;
* Monitor and supervise the cutting process, ensuring compliance with quality standards;
* Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of produced parts;
* Identify and correct simple operational faults;
* Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance of equipment;
* Comply with safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
**Requirements**
* Completed high school education;
* Technical or vocational training in CNC, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields;
* Experience operating plasma and/or oxy-fuel CNC cutting machines;
* Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings;
* Basic understanding of metrology (e.g., calipers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments).
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with CAD/CAM software;
* Knowledge of CNC programming (G\-code);
* Training in occupational safety, such as NR\-12 and NR\-35\.
