Use metrology instruments for dimensional inspections **Conventional Lathe and Milling Machine Operator – Mechanical Machining Technical Responsibilities** * Operate conventional lathes and milling machines for machining metal and engineering materials. * Perform machine setup: workpiece clamping, alignment, adjustments, and tool selection. * Carry out operational adjustments, machining corrections, and cutting tests. * Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish within the tolerances specified in engineering drawings. * Use metrology instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) for dimensional inspections. * Record deviations, report maintenance needs, and propose improvements to the manufacturing process. * Comply with industrial safety, organization, and quality standards. **Technical Requirements** * Proven experience operating conventional lathes and milling machines. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings. * Proficiency in using high-precision measuring instruments. * Knowledge of cutting tool preparation and adjustment.
