The Perishables Assistant will be responsible for supporting department operations, ensuring the proper handling, preservation, and display of the store’s perishable products. Responsibilities include: * Performing the **organization, restocking, and display** of perishable products (dairy, deli items, packaged meats, frozen goods, etc.); * Checking the **expiration dates, temperature, quality, and integrity** of items; * Assisting with the **receiving and storage** of goods, following hygiene and preservation standards; * Keeping cold rooms, freezers, and shelves **stocked, clean, and organized**; * Following **good handling practices**, ensuring food safety; * Providing courteous customer service when required; * Supporting the team in other operational routines within the department.
