**Job Description** This position is for on-site work in Contagem, MG. **Who will you work with?** You will join the Signaling & Systems – Digital Intelligence team, working directly in the field on highly complex railway projects. Your primary focus will be executing tests, commissioning, operational validation, and start-up of signaling systems, ensuring that installed systems comply with functional, operational, and safety requirements. **How will you make a difference?** You will work closely with Construction, Installation, Operations, RAMS, Project Engineering, and Project Management teams, and frequently interact with customers and railway operators, representing engineering during critical service entry phases**.** **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. * Extensive experience in railway signaling engineering, with a proven track record in the industry. * Advanced English (written and spoken). * Solid experience in: + Functional and operational testing of signaling systems + Vital logic (relays, VLC, interlockings) + Level crossings + Reading and interpreting electrical and logic diagrams * Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio). * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers. * Ability to work autonomously in the field, with a hands-on profile, sound decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities. * Prior experience in the railway environment. * Focus on consistent deliverables, supported by mature processes and people development. * Experience in developing electrical projects. * Good knowledge of LADDER programming and relay logic. * Familiarity with CAD software (Solid Edge, AutoCAD). * Willingness to travel. * Strong self-development capability, technical curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning. * Proactive, dynamic, and resilient profile, with ease in matrix organizational structures. * Strong organizational skills (record control, minutes preparation) and effective communication (leading technical meetings). * Analytical mindset, with strong synthesis ability for reviewing and identifying requirements. * Results-oriented focus. * Experience with technologies from different suppliers will be considered an advantage. * Desired but not mandatory + Experience with ElectroLogIXS, ElectroCode, XP4\. + Familiarity with SATS (vital simulation software). **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Plan, execute, and lead static and dynamic field testing activities. * Perform commissioning tests of signaling systems, ensuring compliance with functional, regulatory, and safety requirements. * Interface directly with the customer during testing and operational releases. * Diagnose field failures by analyzing circuits, logic, events, and system logs. * Prepare technical reports summarizing status, failure analyses, and conclusions for customers and internal departments. * Support start-up, assisted operation, and commercial service entry activities. * Serve as technical leader in internal and customer reviews, leading discussions on architecture, design, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance. * Guide and support analysts, promoting sound engineering practices and strengthening collaborative teamwork across departments. * Contribute to developing procedures and operational test sheets, ensuring adherence to project requirements. * Develop, monitor, and update engineering schedules, ensuring achievement of milestones and technical deliverables. * Interface directly with the customer, providing technical support, clarifying requirements, and tracking delivery progress. * Support estimation and budgeting for new signaling projects. * Conduct requirement elicitation, analysis, and validation across all engineering lifecycle phases. * Develop and integrate new systems and technologies applied to train control. **Benefits:** At Wabtec, people come first.
