Description
Assist inpatient and outpatient patients by accommodating them, administering prescribed medications, performing preparatory procedures for examinations, and maintaining facilities, materials, and instruments in good working and preservation condition, under the supervision of a nurse.
**Schedule:** 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday
**Salary:** R$2.201,64 + 20% insalubridade allowance: R$ 303,60.

**Responsibilities and duties**
* Verify the daily schedule via the notice board, noting the list of patients to be transported, their scheduled times, and types of examinations; identify whether each patient will be transported by stretcher or wheelchair;
* Perform care transition checklist;
* Assess the patient’s condition together with the nursing team prior to transfer, ensuring maximum operational safety;
* Accommodate the patient on the wheelchair or stretcher, verifying use of devices or oxygen supply, and preparing the patient for transport;
* Transport the patient to the examination site, or, in case of external examinations, to the ambulance, carrying relevant documentation (medical record and examination appointment slip), using either a stretcher or wheelchair;
* Receive patients arriving for admission via ambulances, identifying the most suitable equipment for transport and the appropriate bed for admission;
* Handle internal transfer requests between units;
* Transport unscheduled patients requiring examinations upon immediate supervisor’s request;
* Record each completed examination and report uncompleted ones to the nursing team;
* Clean transport equipment (stretcher and wheelchair) after each use to prevent contamination;
* Maintain shared equipment;
* Transport patients from the inpatient unit to their originating unit;
* Participate in institutional and departmental training programs;
* Perform other related tasks of equivalent difficulty level as requested by the immediate supervisor.
**Requirements and qualifications**
Completed high school education
Completed Technical Nursing course
Active COREN registration
