




Job Summary: A nursing professional to manage surgical scheduling, team coordination, operating room organization, and patient care, ensuring operational workflow. Key Highlights: 1. Coordination and scheduling of surgical procedures and teams. 2. Support in organizing and maintaining the hospital environment. 3. Communication with patients, physicians, and health insurance providers regarding preoperative matters. *Responsibilities:* * Schedule surgical procedures by phone with mandatory confirmation via e\-mail, entering all required data into the system; * Review the surgical schedule daily to assess availability of new time slots for scheduling, facilitating operating room (OR) preparation and meeting physicians’ needs; * Confirm procedures with anesthesiologists via phone call and e\-mail; * Contact and schedule on-call physicians as needed. In case of surgery cancellation, immediately notify the anesthesiologist, pharmacy, and nursing staff; * Receive health insurance authorization forms and approvals, resolving any pending issues with insurers; verify need for special material authorizations and forward medical records to the OR; * Support inspection of rooms, corridors, changing rooms, restrooms, and other facilities to assess maintenance, cleaning, and organization requirements; report demands to coordination and open GLPI tickets; * Conduct preoperative assessments as early as possible, contacting patients by phone in advance, following the checklist, verifying all information, and conveying necessary instructions.
