Ensuring quality and compliance in technical examinations **Job Details** -------------------- **What are the challenges of the area and position:** Responsible for performing technical examinations within the scope of practice defined for Nuclear Medicine Technicians in the field of imaging diagnostics, ensuring examination and image quality and correct application of pre\-defined protocols for each medical indication, **Main Responsibilities:** Work in nuclear medicine areas, handling, preparing, injecting, and administering radioactive components, following established protocols for each examination and guidance from the nuclear physician; Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment according to examination type and protocol, and enhance acquired images; Perform technical examinations, ensuring quality and correct application of pre\-defined protocols for each medical indication; Conduct daily individual radiation and environmental monitoring using radiation monitors; Review physician requisitions, paying attention to examination details: verify laterality, diagnostic hypothesis, patient restrictions, protocol specifics, and other applicable variables to prevent non\-conformities; review and sign the patient questionnaire, evaluating health conditions; identify the appropriate examination protocol based on its specifics and guide the nursing team in patient preparation and positioning on the equipment; Verify technical conditions of equipment and accessories for activity execution, performing daily quality control and equipment calibration; Review examination results to confirm quality and technical acquisition, and provide instructions regarding result delivery; Attach films to the client’s file and forward for interpretation; Provide guidance and information to internal and external clients as requested, in accordance with instructions, protocols, and Help resources, leveraging knowledge of procedures, protocols, and Help information; train and support new colleagues or those covering for vacations, leaves, or absences, as directed by immediate supervisors; Participate in quality programs and training sessions as instructed by immediate leadership. **Education:** Completed: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences Registration with the professional council (CRB).
