We are seeking a highly strategic, analytical, and leadership-capable Finance professional to serve as a Financial Reporting Specialist at a globally recognized company in the **refractories and mining** sector — an industry essential to strategic global supply chains.

The position carries a high level of seniority and visibility within the organization and is considered a key role in the finance leadership succession pipeline. The professional will serve as direct support to current management, with concrete potential for advancement into leadership roles.

**Key Responsibilities:**
**1\. Technical Leadership \& Succession Pipeline**
* Serve as the technical reference for financial reporting, accounting, and consolidation.
* Collaborate directly with finance leadership to support strategic and operational decisions.
* Gradually assume leadership responsibilities within the function.
* Influence senior local and global stakeholders, including HQ and business units.
* Develop a broad understanding of the industrial business and strategic execution capability.
**2\. Financial Reporting \& Global Governance**
* Ensure excellence, quality, and accuracy of financial statements.
* Lead accounting close and reporting processes for headquarters/global entities.
* Address complex accounting topics related to IFRS and compliance.
* Review disclosures and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and global policies.
* Contribute to strengthening corporate financial governance.
* Analyze and report intercompany transactions.
* Ensure alignment with corporate policies and international standards.
**3\. Strategic Financial Analysis**
* Develop robust financial analyses to support business strategic decisions.
* Translate numbers into insights linked to industrial operations and operational performance.
* Lead initiatives in automation, efficiency, and finance transformation.
* Apply BI and analytics tools (Power BI, dashboards, data visualization).
* Explore new technologies and AI applications in finance.
* Contribute to advancing data maturity and digital finance.
**4\. Governance, Compliance \& Controls**
* Ensure a solid internal control and compliance environment.
* Identify financial risks and propose mitigation plans.
* Act as the primary interface during internal and external audits.
* Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
**5\. Global Environment \& Stakeholder Management**
* Frequent interaction with international teams and headquarters.
* Participation in executive meetings and global presentations.
* Work in a multicultural, collaborative, and highly strategic environment.
* Align processes and practices with the company’s global standards.
**Required Knowledge and Skills:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields
* Postgraduate studies, MBA, or international certifications are considered valuable differentiators
Solid experience in:
* Financial reporting and accounting close
* Financial consolidation in multinational environments
* IFRS and complex accounting topics
* Global corporate environments and matrix structures
* Advanced/Fluent English (used daily)
* Experience with finance automation, analytics, and digital finance transformation.
* Proficiency in financial and BI tools
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Advanced Spanish
* Experience in finance transformation and digital finance
* Background in industrial, mining, or manufacturing environments
* Experience with ESG reporting
* Prior informal leadership, team coordination, or mentoring experience
* Knowledge of Power BI, automation, and AI initiatives applied to finance.
