Responsible for compounding chemotherapy drugs and other medications in general, developing procedures, monitoring and guiding professionals in their activities related to inventory control, supply, prescription analysis and clinical protocols, pharmaceutical dose calculations, preparation and control of formulations, and dispensing—with emphasis on patient safety and rational use of manufactured drugs. \- Quality-of-life program — including psychological support and regular physical activity; * Funeral plan; * Partnerships with restaurants, Pacheco, psychologists, pharmacies, and workshops; * Christmas gift card. **Responsibilities and Duties*** Provide technical guidance to pharmacy staff during medication and medical material dispensing, as well as to other healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and nursing technicians—regarding dosage, dosing schedule, stability, administration route, indication, and adverse effects; * Evaluate, when necessary, requests for non-standardized or restricted-use medications, judicially mandated medications, and high-cost medications, approving or questioning such requests with the requester regarding the actual need for the respective medication; * Guide pharmacy technicians on the use of germicides (antiseptics, detergents, disinfectants, etc.) when required; * Guide pharmacy technicians on medication compounding; * Guide pharmacy technicians on tablet fractioning into pediatric doses (medicated paper), if applicable; * Guide and supervise the process of requesting medications and medical materials—from replenishment point through receipt, verification, unit-dose preparation, storage, and preparation (dispensing); * Identify, develop, and deliver technical training related to medications and pharmaceutical technology processes, aiming to align and improve process and procedure quality; * Develop and revise procedural and routine manuals, training and supervising healthcare professionals on compliance; * Coordinate regulatory inspections by health authorities, Regional Pharmacy Council, and Sanitary Surveillance; * Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, guiding assistants on relevant tasks: defining inventory strategy—including number of days’ stock and monetary value; monitoring high-value items and high-consumption items, as well as those used sporadically; tracking inventory expiration dates via reports, participating in and/or overseeing physical counts, and evaluating items with the greatest discrepancies to identify solutions; establishing replenishment points for each item in stock based on demand; * Develop staff schedules for clinical units and specific departments as needed—including supply, preparation, and dispensing; * Monitor and guide pharmacy technicians regarding work schedule adherence, attendance, and shift swaps; * Stay updated on legislation applicable to hospital pharmacy and good compounding practices, adapting practices to meet legal requirements; * Proactively monitor adverse drug reactions using pharmacovigilance methodology; * Conduct technical prescription reviews, assessing compatibility between medications and diluents, verifying prescribed dose calculations against medical progress notes and established protocols, and ensuring doses fall within therapeutic concentration ranges—validating and authorizing compounding; * Participate in multidisciplinary committees to continuously improve processes and procedures; * Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, proposing interventions in medical prescriptions when necessary; \- Supervise and mentor multiprofessional residents; \- Participate in clinical protocol development; * Periodically review medication and medical material standardization across the Santa Casa Group; * Compound medications adhering to good practices for handling chemotherapy and general medications per RDC 220/04 and RDC 67/2007, ensuring appropriate use of medications and materials during compounding to reduce waste and optimize resources; * Submit medication and material replenishment requests both through the institution’s electronic system and SIGAF; * Maintain organization and control of inventory designated for compounding, as well as control over processes in the vial-washing room and compounding room—upholding good compounding practices; * Perform microbiological control sampling in classified areas and among personnel working in classified areas; * Maintain organization and control of judicially mandated medications, patient-provided medications, and Ministry of Health–supplied medications—ensuring traceability and adherence to good storage, compounding, and dispensing practices; * Support immediate supervisor on matters inherent to the role, proposing solutions to problems and irregularities to inform decision-making and aid continuous improvement of departmental processes; * Perform other duties of similar nature and complexity upon request from the immediate supervisor. **Requirements and Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; Oncology certification; Postgraduate qualification in Hospital Pharmacy / Hospital Management / Clinical Pharmacy and/or Clinical Pharmacology / Oncology is desirable.
