Job Summary: A professional responsible for organizing the cash register, serving customers, registering and pricing products, receiving payments, and assisting with store organization. Key Highlights: 1. Direct customer service at the checkout 2. Responsibility for payment and cash management 3. Support in organizing and pricing merchandise · Organize and sanitize the checkout area and work materials; · Serve customers; · Weigh merchandise on the scale; · Register each product to compute its value; · Receive customer payments (cash bills, coins, credit cards, checks); · Return change to customers; · Issue fiscal receipts; · Close the cash register and organize cards by acquirer (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other cards, checks); · Assume responsibility for any cash shortage in case of discrepancies; · Assist with packaging merchandise when necessary; · Assist with restocking merchandise on shelves; · Clean counters, gondolas, and merchandise with a cloth before display; · Identify damaged products and forward them to the Exchange Department; · Price products; · Perform other related tasks.
