Work for a global engineering leader with sustainable impact Finishing Operator Weir ESCO Betim \- MG On-site Job Objective: Responsible for finishing, painting, and mechanical assembly of various parts—including parts used in the company's manufactured products—ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Job Description:* Perform complete finishing of parts using, as needed, grinders, sanders, grinding machines, and welding machines on complex parts (e.g., blasting); * Apply standard or special paint coatings according to customer requirements. * Conduct inspections to ensure dimensional and visual quality of parts per company drawings and specifications; * Read and interpret engineering drawings and project documentation. * Make adjustments to holes and welds when necessary. * Analyze finishing and painting processes to identify and implement improved work methods. * Identify and package parts; * Operate overhead cranes to move parts; * Perform fine-tuning finishing on machined parts; * Comply with responsibilities outlined in the Duty of Care (a document addressing individual and collective commitment to health and safety). Mandatory Requirements* Completed high school education * Basic knowledge of metrology (e.g., tape measure and other measuring instruments) * Basic ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings * Understanding of quality principles and attention to detail * Commitment to safety standards and 6S workplace organization and cleanliness Desirable Requirements (Differentiators)* Industrial Apprenticeship Training from SENAI (or equivalent courses in boiler-making or related fields) * Prior experience in finishing, deburring, sanding, or visual inspection of parts * Familiarity with dimensional control and product quality * Ability to work effectively in teams and adapt to production routines Behavioral Competencies* Focused attention and strong sense of responsibility * Organization and discipline * Proactivity and willingness to learn * Effective communication in the workplace Why Choose Weir: At Weir, a growing world depends on us.
