Responsible for ensuring the execution of electroencephalogram examinations, guiding, preparing, and positioning patients, as well as correctly placing electrodes and operating specialized equipment to support medical diagnoses in accordance with established technical procedures. Must provide high-quality, humane care—courteous, prompt, and impartial—ensuring patient and companion comfort and safety per organizational standards aligned with the organization’s values and strategic objectives. Autonomy in performing tasks is limited; procedures are clear and detailed; any deviations or unforeseen situations must be reported to supervision. Work Location: Luxemburgo Neighborhood Schedule: Monday to Friday **Responsibilities and Duties** * Verify patient identification and the examination to be performed, ensuring all information is correct before beginning the procedure. * Welcome and guide the patient and their family members regarding the electroencephalogram examination, explaining the procedure, clarifying doubts, and seeking to minimize anxiety, ensuring humane and welcoming care. * Ensure the patient is in optimal condition for the examination, confirming that hair is clean, dry, and free of creams, oils, or other products that may interfere with electrode adhesion. * Record vital signs—such as blood pressure and weight—as per service routine, and position the patient comfortably and safely, avoiding contact with metallic objects. * Prepare and organize the work area, verifying the condition of equipment and accessories used in the EEG examination, ensuring proper functionality. * Perform hand hygiene according to the standard operating procedure (PRT \- NSP \- 005 \- Hand Hygiene) and clean the patient’s skin with alcohol prior to electrode placement. * Place electrodes on the patient’s scalp according to the established technical protocol, ensuring proper adhesion and correct arrangement for capturing cerebral electrical signals. * Configure the EEG equipment, monitoring and recording cerebral electrical activity throughout the examination, observing patient behavior and documenting any clinical events, signs, or symptoms presented. * Conclude the procedure by carefully removing electrodes and cleaning the patient’s skin, ensuring comfort and safety upon completion of the examination. * Perform hygiene and organization of the examination room and equipment, maintaining the environment in suitable condition for the next appointment. * Assist in processing and organizing data obtained during the examination, following guidance from the Specialist Neurologist and ensuring integrity of collected information. * Perform related activities as required. **Requirements and Qualifications** MANDATORY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Technical Nursing Course; * Experience in the field of practice.
