Job Summary:
Environmental Supervisor for the steel industry to oversee inspections, audits, cost management, environmental licensing, training, and continuous improvement of the IMS.

Position: Steel Industry Environmental Supervisor
Location: Betim / Cachoeira – MG
Responsibilities:
Oversee inspection and regulatory compliance processes;
Manage work teams;
Support third-party audit processes, including legal requirement audits;
Assist in departmental cost management and raise employee awareness regarding cost reduction and rational use of resources;
Support department management on routines related to environmental processes and issues, including environmental studies and projects;
Support environmental licensing processes for subsidiaries and farms, as well as compliance with licensing conditions;
Promote company values among employees;
Conduct relevant training sessions;
Promote continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, with emphasis on environmental management;
Foster a respectful and collaborative environment that encourages teamwork;
Supervise the Critical Review process conducted by Top Management regarding environmental requirements;
Supervise compliance with legal and other applicable requirements;
Supervise environmental risk management processes;
Supervise and monitor the establishment of environmental objectives and targets, as well as performance indicator analysis and management;
Supervise the management of documented information within the Integrated Management System, specifically environmental documentation;
Supervise environmental licensing processes;
Requirements:
Prior experience in the steel industry is required.
Minimum education: Completed Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemistry.
Experience leading teams and prior involvement in steelmaking processes;
Knowledge of Air Quality Monitoring (Inhalable Particles, Settling Particles, and Total Suspended Particles) and Atmospheric Dispersion Studies (ADS);
Experience interacting with environmental agencies is desirable.
Specialization, additional training, or proven experience in the environmental field is desirable;
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Salary: R$ 6.000,00
