Description

Job Objective Perform layout, cutting, assembly, and finishing of metal parts (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and sheet metal in general), strictly adhering to technical drawings and tolerance standards. Carry out industrial assembly and installation tasks related to boiler-making (structures, bases, supports, guards, piping, and cylindrical shells). Essential Activities Reading and interpreting technical drawings (views, sections, projections, dimensions, and symbols). Layout, sheet metal development, and cutting (plasma, oxy-fuel torch, saw, etc.). Assembly and welding of metal structures and piping. Forming, beveling, leveling, and rolling. Use of measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, protractor, level). Operating material handling equipment (hoist, overhead crane, pallet jack). Desirable Course in Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings. Boilermaking course.
