Geological Engineer (Hydrologist)

Description

· Ensure technical quality of hydrology and hydraulics studies and projects (mine drainage, sediment control structures, basins/spillways) and hydrological stability of structures. · Define assumptions and criteria, conduct trade-offs, participate in Design Review/Gates and HIRA/FMEA; issue technical opinions. · Hypothetical dam break studies with flood zone delineation and arrival time estimation; support for licensing. Integration with Geotechnics, Mine Operations, Corporate Water Resources and Environment; technical visits and compliance audits. Job Type: Permanent CLT Salary: R$2.460,13 – R$11.691,00 per month Benefits: * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Meal allowance * Transportation allowance Selection Question(s): * Do you have experience in mine hydrology and hydro-sedimentology; design of drainage systems, channels, gutters, thalwegs, culverts/galleries, energy dissipators, riprap, and control devices? * Do you have experience using HEC-HMS / HEC-RAS (1D/2D) for hydrological/hydraulic modeling and dam break simulations; GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) for spatial analysis and watershed delineation? * Do you have experience using AutoCAD / Civil 3D for detailing control devices and alignments; ACC for integration and delivery control? * Do you have experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling; preparation of technical reports and calculation memos?
